Film a short K-pop clip with friends at HiKR Ground

HiKR Ground’s regular guide describes music-video sets where you can choose music and lighting. A Pokémon event is announced through October 11, 2026, so ask about set availability before planning a filming visit.

If you would rather take photos or videos than shop for merchandise, consider HiKR Ground on Cheonggyecheon-ro. Run by Korea Tourism Organization, it introduces visitors to Korea through interactive experiences. Its regular guide describes K-pop Ground on the second floor, where you can choose music and lighting for filming.[1]

What you can try depends on your visit date. A special Pokémon event was announced through October 11, 2026, so ask whether the K-pop sets are available if you want to use them during that period.[4][5]

Start with one scene

The regular experience guide describes music-video-style backgrounds such as a subway and a laundromat. With friends, choose an entrance scene or one short dance move to try. Start with a clip that suits one background rather than trying to finish a long video. You can also take a photo against the set without dancing.

Charge your phone and leave enough storage space. Follow the on-site guidance on taking turns, and ask for consent if other visitors appear in your shot. Contact the operator if you plan to bring additional equipment or film commercially.[1]

Event details for an October visit

The announcement checked on October 8, 2026, lists “Pikachu’s Autumn Outing” for September 18–October 11 on floors 2 and 3, with a pop-up shop on floor 5. Event hours are 10:00–20:00. The fourth floor is separate from this Pokémon event.[4]

Korea Tourism Organization’s September 7 visitor-policy plan gives the following arrangements.[5]

• The venue also opens on Mondays during the event period.

• For floors 2, 3 and 5, join the on-site queue and registration system at the kiosks in the outdoor forecourt on the first floor, then enter when called and directed by staff.

• Registration uses an email address or a Korean mobile number. Queue registration and reservations may be limited when visitor numbers are high.

• For the separate fourth-floor K-drama exhibition, join the indoor queue on the first floor and enter when it is your turn.

Even if you are visiting to escape the rain, event registration may take place outdoors. International visitors are directed to use the same procedure; ask staff if you have trouble registering. The organizer’s main event graphic still says entry details will be announced separately, so confirm the applicable procedure through the official event guidance or information center before visiting.[4][5]

These announcements do not give a reopening date for the regular sets after October 11. Ask about your intended date rather than assuming the usual experience will return the next day.

Free admission and bookable programs

General admission is free, and paid programs are announced separately. If a particular experience interests you, follow the official guide’s link to the Naver booking page and read the dates, price, participation requirements, language and cancellation conditions. That booking is separate from both general admission and on-site registration for the special event.[1][6]

Ask about using an overseas phone number or payment method for the specific program. Foreign-language guided sessions are not confirmed on a fixed schedule, so give the information center your date and preferred language. The standard guide lists regular Korean-language sessions at 10:30 and 15:30, Tuesday–Sunday.[1]

For other floors, the operator’s standard guide describes the first-floor HiKR Wall, third-floor HiKR Street, fourth-floor Local Ground, and fifth-floor lounge, tourist information center and café. Special events and exhibition changes may alter the layout. Other tourism descriptions also use different floor names, so follow the on-site information as you explore.[1][2]

Address and regular opening hours

• Address: Korea Tourism Organization Seoul Center, 40 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul

• Subway guidance: Jonggak Station Exit 5 or Euljiro 1-ga Station Exit 2

• Regular hours: Floors 1–4, Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–20:00; floor 5, daily 10:00–20:00

• Regular last admission: 20 minutes before closing; the facilities guide lists 19:40 for floors 2–4

• Tourist information center: +82-2-729-9497~8

Avoid Mondays if you want the second-floor experience during regular operations. Monday opening during the special event is a dated exception. Sources differ on first-floor Monday opening and the fifth-floor information center’s closing time, so call if you intend to visit then or seek advice late in the day. The event queue’s registration cutoff may also differ from regular last admission.[1][3][5][7]

If you use a wheelchair or stroller, ask the information center about entrances and travel between floors. Although the address is on Cheonggyecheon-ro, you do not need to go down to the streamside path. Choose the indoor experience you want to try and plan your visit around it.
