From Gimhae Airport or Busan Station to four Busan neighbourhoods
The first train depends on where you arrive. At Gimhae Airport, take the light rail to Sasang and change to Metro Line 2; at KTX Busan Station, find Metro Line 1. The official network map shows the airport–Sasang link and the Line 1/2 interchange at Seomyeon.[1] These directions were researched on September 13, 2026. Check first and last trains and any service changes in the official journey planner or station displays on the day you travel.[2][4]
Match your address to a station
Seomyeon is 119 on Line 1 and 219 on Line 2. For Nampo-dong, compare Nampo 111 with Jagalchi 110 if your address is nearer the market. Haeundae 203 and Gwangan 209 serve the two beach districts, but neither station is on the sand. Visit Busan describes walks to each beach from Exit 5 of its respective station.[5] A hotel address matters more than the district name.
Arriving at Gimhae International Airport
Follow the Light Rail signs from arrivals to Airport Station. The airport lists Line 2 at Sasang and Line 3 at Daejeo as transfer options.[3] Sasang is the more straightforward one for these four destinations.
1. Board the light rail toward Sasang.
2. At Sasang, change to Metro Line 2 toward Jangsan. Transit cards such as T-money and Cashbee can be used for transfer discounts.[2]
3. Remain on Line 2 for Seomyeon, Gwangan or Haeundae.
4. For Nampo, change at Seomyeon to Line 1 toward Dadaepo Beach.

The light rail's official route finder offers shortest and fewest-transfer options and fares; it describes its journey times as averages.[4] Use the day's result rather than a fixed travel-time promise.
Arriving at KTX Busan Station
Leave the KTX area and follow Metro Line 1 signs to subway station 113. The KTX and metro station areas are separate.
• For Seomyeon 119, take Line 1 toward Nopo.
• For Nampo 111, take Line 1 toward Dadaepo Beach.
• For Gwangan 209 or Haeundae 203, ride toward Nopo to Seomyeon, then change to Line 2 toward Jangsan.

Nampo or Jagalchi?
Nampo can suit Yongdusan Park and Gwangbok-ro; Jagalchi may suit the market or an address south of BIFF Square. Plot the exact road address and the station exit before choosing which stop to use.

One Line 2 corridor, two beach walks
On a Jangsan-bound train from Sasang or Seomyeon, Gwangan comes before Haeundae.[1] Both stops leave a walk to the beach. For an address in Marine City, Centum City, Jung-dong or Jangsan, search for the actual closest station rather than assuming Haeundae is it.

If you arrive late or carry several bags
The airport lists limousine-bus services toward Seomyeon/Bujeon and Haeundae/Gijang but explicitly warns that timetables and fares may change without notice.[6] Check the boarding point, payment method and last departure just before travel. After rail service ends, or with multiple large bags, the official taxi rank is an alternative. Traffic affects both travel time and cost; neither is quoted as a fixed figure here.
Before setting off, check the destination station number, direction of travel, nearest exit, lift access and last service for that day. The final walk can matter as much as the transfer.
