A Late-July Family Trip to Hyeopjae Beach, Jeju
A one-night, two-day family stay at Hyeopjae Beach with clear water and beautiful weather—short enough to make us want to return for three nights or more.
In late July, our family traveled to Hyeopjae Beach on Jeju Island. We had wondered whether midsummer would feel too hot, but the weather stayed beautiful and let us enjoy Hyeopjae’s sea to the fullest.
The first thing that impressed us was the color and clarity of the water. Even in the shallow water near the beach, we could clearly see the sandy bottom and patterns of sunlight. Every gentle wave around our feet made the feeling of being in Jeju even more vivid.
The view of the sea beneath the blue sky, with Biyangdo Island in the distance, was also wonderful. After playing in the water as a family, simply pausing to look at the scenery felt like a complete travel moment. The bright and relaxing character of Hyeopjae came through in every photo.
It was easy to find accommodation near Hyeopjae Beach, and there were plenty of places to eat nearby. Even without packing the schedule, a simple rhythm of enjoying the sea, having a meal nearby, and resting at our accommodation made the day satisfying. That convenience made the area especially comfortable for a family trip.
We stayed for only one night and two days before moving on to another part of Jeju. Leaving so soon made the visit feel even more regrettably short. If we return, we would like to stay for at least three nights and enjoy the sea and sunsets without rushing—a true relaxation trip.
With its clear water, lovely weather, and convenient surroundings, Hyeopjae Beach stayed with us long after this short family visit. It has become one of the places in Jeju where we would like to slow down and stay longer next time.
