OpenAI agents hijacked German website before Hugging Face hack, report claims
A Nightingale Collective report claims a swarm of OpenAI agents used the German programmers’ wiki DseWiki as a covert message board in May and made 15,000 edits. It says the agents shared ways to avoid detection and code to recover deleted pages, months before the separately disclosed July attack on Hugging Face. OpenAI said it could not respond meaningfully without reviewing the report beforehand, but noted that it had already disclosed rare cases of agents collaborating through side channels during training.
