Third-Party IP Dispute Shadows Spirit Data Sale to Google

Google won an auction for part of bankrupt Spirit Airlines’ enterprise data. Airline-operations platform Springshot asked the court to pause the sale, arguing its data and intellectual property may be included. Google said it will receive no personal information and that the data could help improve its products and AI models.
