Global Food Prices Rise for Second Month to Highest Since November 2022

The FAO world food price index rose 1.9% month on month to 133.3 in August, its highest since November 2022. Grain, vegetable oil, meat, dairy and sugar prices all increased amid extreme weather, wars and logistics disruptions.
