Incheon Airport to Gangnam: plan the last leg to your hotel
Where you get off depends on whether you are staying around Gangnam Station and Yeoksam or near Samseong and COEX. Enter your accommodation's Korean address in a map and compare the walk from an airport bus stop with the subway transfer route. With large bags or children, the distance you need to cover inside stations matters too.

Bus stops for Gangnam Station, Yeoksam, Samseong and COEX
An airport bus saves you from changing subway trains with your luggage. Examples listed in the airport's bus search include 6020 (Yeoksam), 6103 (Samseong Station/City Airport Terminal) and 6703 (Gangnam/COEX).[1] For accommodation around Gangnam Station or Yeoksam, trace the route from a 6020 stop to your hotel entrance. For Samseong or COEX, do the same for 6103 and 6703. A bus heading to Gangnam will not necessarily stop outside your hotel; that depends on the individual stop. Before booking, check the departure terminal, operator, that day's stop locations and order, and whether the service is running.
Night bus N6000 heads towards the Gangnam Express Bus Terminal. At the time of the check, the T2 page listed an adult fare of 17,000 won and a journey of about 90 minutes to the terminus.[4] Fares, services and road conditions can change. What matters is whether there is a service you can catch after immigration and baggage collection, rather than simply one that leaves after your scheduled landing.
AREX and the subway to avoid road congestion
Compare a journey on the All-Stop Train with a change at an intermediate station such as Gimpo Airport against a journey via Seoul Station and the subway, taking each route all the way to your accommodation. Either way, there is more travel to Gangnam after leaving AREX. The airport route map's times of about 44 minutes from T2 to Gimpo Airport and about 66 minutes from T2 to Seoul Station cover only the train ride. Waiting, changing and continuing to Gangnam take additional time.[3]

The Express Train runs nonstop to Seoul Station with reserved seats. Choosing it still leaves you with the onward journey from Seoul Station to Gangnam. For one or two people travelling light, the All-Stop Train with a subway transfer is worth comparing. Include AREX's current fare and timetable, the walks inside stations and the last departures for your connecting services in your route planning.[3][5]

Travelling with a group or plenty of luggage
Seoul standard taxis start at a base fare of 4,800 won, but the actual fare depends on the meter, vehicle type, congestion and time of day. Night surcharges of about 20–40% may apply from 22:00 to 04:00. Consider those journey conditions rather than using the base fare alone to estimate the total to Gangnam.[2]
The listed ranks for standard taxis to Seoul are T1 5C, 6C and 6D, and T2 7C.[2] Show your accommodation's Korean address at the designated rank. For three or four people travelling with children and a lot of luggage, the convenience of a drop-off at the door is worth comparing, but a standard vehicle may not fit all your suitcases. Ask about the luggage space and fare for a larger vehicle. Late at night, compare available N6000 departures with the taxi surcharge as well.[2][4]
If you use a wheelchair or pushchair, give priority to lifts, transfer distances and access to your accommodation's entrance. The airport's taxi guide also lists contacts for mobility assistance.[2]
