Incheon Airport T1 or T2: check the terminal for your flight

Before heading to Incheon Airport, check whether your operating flight leaves from T1 or T2. If you reach the wrong terminal, the options depend on whether you are landside or already in the airside transfer area.

Before heading to Incheon Airport, find out whether your flight departs from Terminal 1 (T1) or Terminal 2 (T2). They are separate buildings. Arriving at the wrong one adds time to reach the shuttle stop and wait, even though the shuttle itself is free.[7][8] Have the operating airline and flight number from your booking confirmation ready when looking up your terminal.

For a codeshare, look up the operating airline

Find the operating airline in the airport's airline-by-terminal guide[1], then enter your travel date and operating flight number in the arrivals and departures search to check T1 or T2.[2] With a codeshare, the airline that sold your ticket may differ from the airline flying the aircraft; look for 'operated by' on your booking confirmation. Also consult the airline app and the airport's flight displays on the day. Go to the terminal shown in the flight search rather than guessing from a counter or gate number. Tell your taxi driver Terminal 1 (제1여객터미널) or Terminal 2 (제2여객터미널).

Complete departure formalities at the terminal assigned to your operating flight. Both terminals have departure-processing areas, AREX stations, and bus and taxi boarding points. T1's address is 272 Gonghang-ro, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon (인천 영종구 공항로 272); T2's is 446 Je2terminal-daero, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon (인천 영종구 제2터미널대로 446). Moving between terminals landside

In the public area before security, you can reach the other terminal by free shuttle bus or paid AREX train. The free shuttle's route, boarding point and operating hours differ by direction.

• T1→T2, AIRPORT 04: Listed as departing from outside gate 8 on T1's third floor, every 10–20 minutes, from 04:30 to 23:20.[8]

• T2→T1, AIRPORT 03: Listed as departing from outside gate 7 on T2's third floor, every 7–20 minutes, from 04:30 to 23:35.[7]

The inter-terminal transport guide[3] and shuttle overview[4] also provide information. On your travel date, check the route page for your direction for the stop and operating hours. Allow for the walk to the stop, the wait for the bus and the journey to the departure-processing area after you arrive.

AREX charges a fare. The airport's inter-terminal guide lists a train ride of about 6 minutes and a fare of 1,050 won.[3] Going down to the station, paying and waiting for the train take additional time; check fares and service information just before using it. If you arrive at the wrong terminal, plan to allow at least 30–45 minutes to get back to the departure-processing area, and more if it is busy. This is a planning allowance, not an airport-guaranteed transfer time. Walking between terminals is not a practical passenger route.[3]

If you are already in the airside transfer area

Do not exit through arrivals to use the landside transport above. Follow the green Transfer signs and seek guidance from airport or airline staff. Shuttle-train routes depend on your gate, and on some sections you cannot go back once you have boarded. If you do not have a boarding pass or your terminal has changed, ask at the transfer desk. Even with a short connection, speak to your operating airline or transfer staff before leaving the controlled area through immigration.

When check-in is closing or you need help moving

If you get out of a taxi and discover you are at the wrong terminal with check-in closing soon, contact your airline while asking staff which transport will leave soonest. If you get off AREX one stop too early or late, follow station guidance to take the next paid train. If you are landside and the shuttle is running, going to the official shuttle stop is another option. Allow extra time with children and several large bags: you need to load and unload your own luggage even on the free bus.

The direction-specific route pages list a free wheelchair lift vehicle from 05:00 to 24:00. Advance booking is recommended, and operation depends on vehicle and staff availability. The shuttle operations department's phone number is 032-741-3217.[7][8] Another inter-terminal transport page says the service runs on weekdays only[3], so call this number in advance to ask whether the lift vehicle is available on your travel date. Early in the morning or late at night, check that day's shuttle service and keep a taxi as an alternative.

Check your terminal before leaving

The general information in this article was checked on September 12, 2026, and the direction-specific shuttle routes on October 3, 2026. Airline assignments, codeshares, counters, gates, fares and operating hours can change. Look up your terminal using your travel date and operating flight number 24 hours before departure, then again just before boarding your transport to the airport.[1][2][7][8]

Even after checking in online, you still need to go to the terminal assigned to your flight. Use the search result for your booking rather than relying on what you remember about airlines such as Korean Air or Asiana. Keep your passport and booking reference handy, and add time for a possible terminal mix-up to the check-in allowance required by your airline before setting off for the airport.[1][2]
