Rhythm and hotel
Choose a Haeundae- or Gwangalli-area hotel after checking the slope from the station's elevator exit, luggage storage, toilets and seated breakfast—not merely the station name.[2] Move for 60–90 minutes, then sit for 20–30; eat before peak queues and use a station, department store or museum toilet before each transfer.
Day 1 — arrival, Haeundae, Gwangalli
Leave 60–90 minutes after Busan Station arrival, or 90–120 minutes after landing at Gimhae, before the first booking.[8][9] Store bags and walk only 30–45 minutes on Haeundae's level beachfront; skip the full Dongbaek loop.

Rest, then compare traffic in the taxi app. Taxi Haeundae→Gwangalli reduces transfers and station walks; Line 2 may be more predictable in congestion. Stay on Gwangalli's paved promenade rather than sand, eat early, and taxi back.

Day 2 — brief Gamcheon, long Nampo rest
Taxi to the upper official entrance/information area. Gamcheon is a steep residential hillside.[3] View it for 30–45 minutes only; do not descend lanes you must climb again, and do not block homes.

Taxi downhill for lunch and at least an hour seated. Pick one indoor stop around Nampo. Songdo cable car offers a seated view but still means boarding, queues, height exposure and level changes. Add only after checking live operation, wind and wait, with a round trip and taxi exit plan; if added, delete one market/village stop.[6]
Day 3 — level morning, one optional stop
Walk 30 minutes on Haeundae or Gwangalli, rest again at the hotel, then choose one indoor attraction. Aim for Busan Station 45–60 minutes before the train. For Gimhae, conservatively target about 2 hours before a domestic or 3 hours before an international flight, following a longer airline instruction.[8][9]

Burden comparison
• Haeundae/Gwangalli—low: level promenade; avoid sand.
• Gamcheon—medium/high: taxi to the top, 30–45 minutes, no downhill maze.
• Huinnyeoul—high: narrow residential lanes and many stair/coast connections; omit from the base plan.
• Taejongdae—medium/high: Danubi lowers some walking only when running; lookout/lighthouse stairs remain.[4]
• Haedong Yonggungsa—high: 108 steps and narrow sections; omit for knee or balance difficulty.[5]
Never assume Danubi will run: Mondays and bad weather may suspend it.[4] If it is off, skip Taejongdae. Check cable-car status and queues in wind or rain.[6][7]
Bad weather or fatigue
Replace Gamcheon, Huinnyeoul, Taejongdae and Yonggungsa with one indoor Centum City, museum or similar stop with reliable seats and toilets. If unusual dizziness, pain or breathing difficulty occurs, stop the itinerary, rest somewhere safe and seek appropriate help. This guide is not medical advice.
