Gijang, Haedong Yonggungsa and Songjeong by train
For a day from Haeundae, use Donghae Line OSIRIA → Haedong Yonggungsa → Songjeong. Weekend coastal roads can jam, so make rail your first leg and check live return service. Haeundae to OSIRIA
There is no direct Donghae Line platform at Haeundae metro station. Take Line 2 to BEXCO, follow signs to the separate Donghae Line BEXCO station, then ride past Sinhaeundae and Songjeong to OSIRIA. Temple transfer and the last bus
Official tourism guidance lists bus 139 from OSIRIA Exit 1, or buses 181, 100 and Haeundae 9 from Haeundae.[1] Stops, routes and last departures can change: compare the stop display with live map data. Late in the day, do not gamble on a final bus; check taxi availability before dusk for OSIRIA or Songjeong. Confirm pickup point and metered estimate in the app—do not treat any fare as fixed.

Steps, crowds and respect
The approach includes 108 steps and narrow sections, making the lower complex difficult for wheelchairs, strollers and painful knees.[1] Avoid wet stone and the lower coast in strong wind. Dress modestly, keep voices low, arrange shoes, and use side doors rather than a sanctuary's front door.[1] Never block worshippers, stairs or railings for a photograph.
The official listing currently says daily 04:30–19:20, last admission 18:50, free.[1] These are 13 September 2026 research values, not a guarantee; recheck temple notices, weather and events.

Continue to Songjeong
If live bus data is unclear or queues are long, a taxi to Songjeong Beach or Donghae Line Songjeong Station is the simple connection. Songjeong is known for gentle shallows and surfing, but obey marked swim zones and lifeguards.[3][4] A dry-land walk is a valid visit. Motorcycles, powered mobility devices and bicycles are barred from the promenade; fireworks and smoking are barred on the beach.[4]

Add Gijang Market?
Gijang is one station north of OSIRIA, opposite the direction of Songjeong.[2] Add temple → Gijang Market → Gijang Station only with an early start and a specific seafood/market purpose. Shop hours and prices vary; ask before ordering and decline unwanted purchases.[5] Skip it if sunset at Songjeong or lower fatigue matters more.
Weekend return and bad weather
Allow road-delay margin and return early to Songjeong or OSIRIA Station. Check a second train and a taxi fallback. Cancel both temple coastal steps and the Songjeong waterline during strong-wind, high-wave or heavy-rain alerts, access controls, or when an umbrella is unmanageable.[6] Verify any OSIRIA indoor venue that day, or use the Centum City plan in the rainy-day guide.
